MY PORTFOLIO

What makes New Zealand agriculture distinctly Kiwi resonates all around us.

It resonates from alarm clocks sounding in bedrooms before our kōkako find their song,

in the rise and fall of hooves on races moving milk from pasture to vat,

from behind fence lines dug into Hauraki plains and Aoraki hill country,

in between rolling Rangitikei hills where angus and herefords graze,
from gumboots paired up outside local fish and chip shops at tea time,

and from abandoned wool sheds revealing the paths we took to get here.

My photography is a proud, quiet, empathetic observation of where we've been, where are now, and where we hope to go.

I notice the often-missed details of New Zealand rural life and capture these honest moments through photography.  I convey texture with up and close macro shots, evidence animal sentience by showcasing their natural behaviour and curiosity with a telephoto lens, and present a documentary style account of farmers crafting a lifestyle from pasture, water and light.

New Zealand agricultural photography.  Distinctly New Zealand.  Distinctly Us.
